'Looking' Season 2 New Recap: Are Jonathan Groff, Murray Bartlett, Lauren Weedman “Looking For A Plot?"

HBO continues Season 2 of Looking with an all-new episode. Death catches up with everybody, when Doris (Lauren Weedman) joins Patrick (Jonathan Groff), Dom (Murray Bartlett), and Agustín (Frankie J. Alvarez), as they all learn what it means to be 'Looking for A Plot.'

The morning after, Patrick is apologizing to Dom, Agustín, and Doris about his drunken Halloween speech. Patrick makes it up to all of them by buying them scones. All of a sudden, Doris gets a call from her aunt, saying that her father has passed away. 

On their road trip, Dom visits his father's old business, which has now been torn down. Doris and Dom remember what their relationship was like before, joking about their first sexual experience together. Doris' father still loved Dom, even after he told him he was gay. Jokingly, Doris' father hoped Dom would reconsider his sexual orientation, accept his bribe money, and marry Doris. 

At a club, Patrick ignores a call from Kevin. Still reeling from his breakup, Patrick doesn't even flirt back with the hot bartender. Rather than be alone, he spends the night dancing with Doris and Dom.

At the funeral, Doris' aunt says a few words and ends the eulogy with a quote from Walt Whitman. Whitman's words brings back memories of Kevin and makes Patrick break down sobbing. Crying loudly, Patrick can't control himself as he becomes an emotional wreck. 

After the funeral, Dom meets with an old acquaintance. Dom wonders why he ever left his childhood home, but Doris says it would have suffocated him. He asks a favor from Doris and Patrick to join him and visit his dead father.        

Dom visits the cemetery where his father is buried, but cannot find his tombstone. He wishes he could have come out to his father. While Patrick is driving, Dom shouts out to the entire cemetery, "I'm gay!" Just as they are about to leave the cemetery, a truck suddenly hits their car.   

At the hospital, Doris tells Dom that her father left money for her in his will. She wants to spend the money on Dom's new business. There is no one else she would rather do that for. Surprised to see Malik, Doris runs up to him, hugs him, and starts to cry.

Kevin (Russell Tovey) shows up outside of Patrick's place and is shocked to see him wrapped in bandages. Kevin tells Patrick that he broke up with Jon. Asking for a second chance, Patrick kisses Kevin, even though it hurts him.
