Get ready for some baby daddy drama. Well more like baby daddy silliness, as ABC Family original series Baby Daddy has just been renewed for a fifth season. That's right comedy fans, the long-running series starring Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Derek Theler, Tahj Mowry, Mellissa Peterman and Chelsea Kane has just been picked up for another whole season of laughs and hijinks.

According to E! News, ABC family vice president Karey Burke sees the series, as well as the network's comedy block, as a huge staple for their lineup.

"Comedy is an important part of ABC Family's make-up," Burke explained in a statement via E! News. "We're excited to see where Dan [Berendsen] takes these lovable characters and look forward to more great comedy form the cast."

It seems like the comedy has already started as star Melissa Pederman took to her Instagram account to express her excitement over the renewal news.

"Big news," the former Reba star captioned on an image of herself. "I got bangs!!!!... oh & BABY DADDY GOT PICKED UP FOR A 5TH SEASON!! I am thrilled, grateful & blessed to work w this amazing group of people."

In related ABC Family comedy news, it was also revealed earlier this year that freshman comedy series Young & Hungry starring Emily Osment would be back on the lineup to dish out some yummy laughs, according to TV Line.

The happy occasion also comes with a bit of sad news, as it was also revealed by Burke that comedy series Melissa & Joey would be ending its five-season run on March 18.

"We are proud of the milestones Melisa & Joey has achieved, being the networks first sitcom to reach 100 episodes and the network's first comedy to win a People's Choice Award," the VP stated.

However, it seems that not even these accolades could save the Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence fronted series.

Baby Daddy airs on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. on ABC Family.
