The Yankees ended their regular MLB season as AL East champs. The Orioles defeated the Texas Rangers in a one game wild card playoff, allowing them to advance to the playoffs. The bombers dominated in Game 1 against the Orioles, even through a rain delay. The Orioles proved victorious in a rainy Game 2. The two teams will continue to battle it out to see who comes out on top after five games (10/10, 10/11, and 10/12). The winner of the first round of playoff series will go on to play the winner of the Oakland Athletics vs. Detroit Tigers AL Division Series playoffs. The Tigers have won Games 1 and 2 while the A's snatched Game 3 - the teams face off again later Wednesday night at 9:37 p.m.
