Rapper Lil Wayne hopes to eventually drop his association with Cash Money Records. Meanwhile, fellow emcee Juvenile just revamped his friendship with renowned hip-hop CEO, Birdman. Will this spark a fresh industry feud between the New Orleans collaborators?

Hopefully not!

After leaving Cash Money several times, the "Back That Thang Up" singer finally announced his official return in October 2014. He later confirmed with MTV:

"It's already done... I signed the paperwork a couple of days ago. I'm signed back - Rich Gang. I'm getting ready to get my tattoo and everything."

And despite their troubled past, Birdman couldn't be happier:

"Even though we been through what we been through, I just feel like the time is right... We got him with Young London, who's probably one of the best producers in the game right now."

So - how are things going?

According to Juvenile, he made the right decision, although fellow artists currently aren't so impressed with the nonstop lies surrounding their contracts:

"We worked it out. They cut the check," the 39-year-old Beast Mode superstar reveals. "It's a matter of lawyers sitting at the table. Lawyers are gonna do their thing, and we're gonna do our thing outside of it. They worked it out."

Well, at least he's getting paid! For now.

As for Weezy's rather hostile feelings?

"I just stay out the way... It ain't my position to even give advice. I'm gonna stay out of that. They've been rocking together tough and tight for some years, so it's gotta be something they can work out" (via allhiphop.com).

Juvenile should have a new album hitting airwaves sometime this year.

Meanwhile, the "Only" crooner continues hyping his own "revenge" album, the #FreeWeezy record. Twitter fans can't wait:

@LilTunechi: "Woop! #FWA."

It's a battle of the releases - will The Carter V continue being ignored? Stay tuned.
