Demi Lovato would love to work with a slew of inspirational artists on her upcoming fifth studio album. Kelly Clarkson, Nicki Minaj, Nick Jonas... and even "Rap God" Eminem!?
In a recent interview with ETOnline.com, the "Skyscraper" songstress explains that she actually has a lot in common with the infamous Detroit emcee:
"... I would love to work with Eminem actually... I can relate to him with being in recovery and things like that so I think we could make something awesome together."
Very true - Lovato and 42-year-old Slim Shady are now clean and healthy after both experienced their own troubles with drug abuse and addiction. Wonder if "The Monster" superstar would agree to an emotional duet with the former Disney sweetheart?
But besides Em, the 22-year-old "Heart Attack" beauty's top "dream collaboration" would be with - "Kelly Clarkson, duh!"
As for working with the "Anaconda" twerker and "Jealous" crooner...
"I don't know! You never know..."
Lovato then goes on to talk about her new sound and revamped style:
"This year, it's super important to me that I embrace who I am as an artist and to become more authentic to who I am... I want to release music that is different, that I've never done before... and that showcases who I am and what I can do vocally. I'm excited to explore with different sounds which is what I'm doing in the studio right now and to see what comes about."
Another exciting fact:
"You can expect ballads, but it's all about balance."
Lovato's last album Demi was released in 2013. Details surrounding her highly-anticipated follow-up still remain unconfirmed. But it's definitely happening! Watch the full exclusive interview, where Lovato also talks about her "role model" status:
