The New York Yankees vs. the Detroit Tigers face off in Game 1 of the MLB American League Championship Series (ALCS) playoffs on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Yankee Stadium. The ballgame is set to start at 8:07 p.m. E.T. Read on to see where fans can watch a live stream and up-to-date live feed/coverage of the game online.

Both teams will face off in a total of seven playoff games to determine which one advances on to the 2012 World Series to either play the San Francisco Giants or St. Louis Cardinals.

Yankees third baseman Alexander Rodriguez, who has been struggling up at bat, was benched in the pivotal ALDS Game 5 against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night in New York. Even so, the Yanks won 3-1. The Tigers also proved victorious in their AL Division Series playoffs against the Oakland A's in Game 5 on Thursday 6-0.

The ballgame will be broadcasted on TBS, but for those fans who can't make it to a television MLB.tv offers a postseason online game package for $24.99 - the "TBS Hot Corner" also offers up-to-date game coverage and highlights. Although no live stream, espn.go and Gamecast both offer great ballgame updates on scores and lineups.

The ALDS and NLDS have both proved exciting and neck-to-neck this year, with all four playoff series making it up to the crucial Game 5. The Yankees, who ended their regular MLB season as AL East champs, won out over the Baltimore Orioles. The Detroit Tigers yo-yoed wins and losses with the Oakland Athletics, ultimately coming out victorious in the end. The San Francisco Giants battled it out with the Cincinnati Reds, winning Game 5 (6-4). The Cardinals finally ousted out the Nationals late Friday night, winning 9-7. The Yanks vs. Tigers will now battle it out in the AL Championship Series which takes place Oct. 13-Oct. 21. The winner of the series will then go on to play in the World Series.
