Kate Upton and Justin Verlander Dating? Detroit Tigers' Grandfather Ousts Sexy Sports Couple

Sexy "Sports Illustrated" bikini model Kate Upton is rumored to be dating MLB Detroit Tigers star pitcher Justin Verlander, and now such reports have been confirmed by none other than Verlander's own grandfather, Richard Verlander Sr. According to the elder Verlander, the duo make a great couple because they are one good looking pair. 20-year-old Upton's grandpa seems to agree, claiming that the infamous "Cat Daddy" viral YouTube dancer has the fam's full support.

The good-looking duo has been spotted together on numerous occasions since July, but both have kept very quiet about their relationship. But good ol' Richard Verlander Sr. recently told Celebuzz, "I heard he has been on dates with a Sports Illustrated girl. I saw a photo - she's beautiful. They make a good looking pair because he's a good looking man too." The proud grandpops went on to say, "I do know he's on the dating scene. Justin is a fine boy and whoever he ends up with is lucky. He's not only a great baseball player, he's a great guy."

Upton, who recently posed nude for the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine's November issue, was there in the baseball stands to cheer on her 29-year-old beau as his team took on the Oakland A's in the American League Division Series playoffs. The Tigers proved victorious in the pivotal Game 5, and will go on to play the New York Yankees in the Championship Series. The winner of that seven-game playoff round will go on to play in the World Series.

Upton's own grandfather Stephen Upton reports that his beautiful granddaughter was indeed at the Oct. 6 game. He insists that Kate has the entire family's support in regards to her current dating life.
