Ahead of its April release date, Netflix has released new official images from their upcoming superhero series, Marvel's Daredevil. Will Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) be unable to stop Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), The Kingpin, from actually "destroying" Hell's Kitchen?

As we previously mentioned, Matt Murdock (Cox) was a young boy when he was struck blind after a near fatal car accident. Though everyone thinks he lives in complete darkness, radioactive chemicals have given him back his sight. By day, Murdock pretends to be a blind lawyer attending courtroom battles. But when darkness falls, Daredevil serves out his own brand of justice protecting Hell's Kitchen against crime.

The official Facebook page has released two official stills, the first with the caption, "Helping build a better Hell's Kitchen."

And the second caption from the next image states, "Destroy and rebuild. #Daredevil"

In an interview with USA Today, the Law & Order: Criminal Intent actor shaved his head and gained weight, adding about 30 pounds to his 250-pound, 6-foot-3 frame. D'Onofrio describes his character, "I just brought in this kind of character who in one sentence could easily go from being a child to a monster, depending on where his emotions take him."

Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight, who previously described The Kingpin as "scary," mentions, "He had a passion and an understanding of what we were trying to do, of making it a very grounded, gritty, realistic show. Here is an actor who's really thinking about it on not only a character depth but a visual depth that I really loved."

Check out the Matt Murdock Motion Poster here:

We mentioned before, in the new motion poster, we saw Murdock (Cox) putting on his trademark red glasses. With that smirk widening across his face, it becomes clear, the blind lawyer has just come out of brawl. Those his bloody knuckles demonstrate Murdock isn't afraid to show how much of a tough guy he is.

According to Writers Guild Foundation, DeKnight and his writing crew, includes Christos Gage, Ruth Gage, Luke Kalteux, Douglas Petrie will be attending the Staff Writer to Showrunner 2015 panel in April. Tickets are available here:
