The Presidential and Vice Presidential Debates both served as a huge prey for the wise guys over at SNL to spoof - so that begs the question, which mock comedy skit was funnier - the one bashing the actual debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan, or the one mimicking MSNBC host Chris Matthews' utter meltdown over President Obama's rather lackluster debate performance? Mstarz readers decide.
The SNL skit mocking Chris Matthews (which premiered earlier in October), features funny man Jason Sudeikis constantly interrupting the other "commentators" with his loud and demanding opinions as he rants on about the event that host Rachel Maddow (Cecily Strong) deems "The Worst Thing That Happened Anywhere" (the first bout of Presidential Debates that took place on Oct. 3). At one point Sudekis shouts, "Disappointed! I've never been so disgusted in my life! I feel bad for whoever had to move the podiums afterwards, because Obama took a giant dump behind his!" Check it out:
Sudeikis stars as Biden in the Vice Presidential SNL spoof, alongside Taran Killam as Republican Paul Ryan. Sudeikis over exaggerates Biden's constant laughing, exclaiming at one point: "You don't scare me shark eyes! You think you're tougher than me because you do the P90X workout? Because you're younger than me? Well, let me tell you something buddy. There's gym strong and there's old man strong." When Debate mediator Martha Raddatz (Kate McKinnon) asks Biden (Sudeikis) what his "malarkey" comment meant, Ryan (Killam) responds with, "It's Irish." Sudeikis retorts, "No, Irish is I come over there and smack that dumb look off your face." Plus Sudeikis makes fun of Romney's hometown of Scranton, PA. Watch the hilarity below.
And in case you missed it, the first Presidential Debate spoof wouldn't make much sense if you haven't seen this yet:
So face off, Mstarz readers, which skit was ultimately funnier?
