The New York Yankees vs. the Detroit Tigers face off in Game 4 of the MLB American League Championship Series (ALCS) playoffs on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Comerica Park. The ballgame is set to start at 8:07 p.m. E.T. Read on to see where fans can watch a live stream and up-to-date live feed/coverage of the game online. Be sure to tune in - if the Yanks lose tonight's game, they're officially out of the running for the 2012 World Series.

UPDATE: The game has been postponed until Thursday, Oct. 18 at 4:07 p.m. due to rain.

Although both teams have the chance to face off in a total of seven playoff games to determine which one advances on to the 2012 World Series to either play the San Francisco Giants or St. Louis Cardinals, the Tigers could sweep the ALCS Wednesday night. Detroit proved victorious in Games 1 (6-4), 2 (3-0), and 3 (2-1) - pivotal Game 4 determines if the Yanks will even remain in the running. The Tigers only need to secure one more victory to move on to the World Series.

Earlier in the ALDS playoffs against the Baltimore Orioles, Yanks captain and short baseman Derek Jeter bruised his foot. During extra innings in the ALCS game Saturday night, Jeter shattered and ultimately broke his left ankle after he went to grab a fielded groundball. He will be benched for 3 months due to this injury, and thus will not be able to finish off the postseason with the Yanks and instead will be watching his team's fate from the dugout bench. Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has had a rather dismal postseason run so far - he was benched after the 8th inning in Game 1 and for the entirety of Game 3, and it doesn't look like he'll hit the field for Game 4. Looks like A-Rod's days as a Yank might be dwindling down.

On the other hand, Detroit's starting pitcher Justin Verlander has had a stellar ALCS run so far (FYI, reports have it he is currently dating popular "Sports Illustrated" bikini model Kate Upton).

Currently in the NLCS, Cardinals won Game 1 and the Giants proved victorious in Game 2 - they are battling it out in Game 3 in St. Louis, but it has been delayed in the 8th inning due to rain (Cardinals currently leads 3-1).

The Yanks vs. Tigers ballgame will be broadcasted on TBS, but for those fans who can't make it to a television MLB.tv offers a postseason online game package for $24.99 - the "TBS Hot Corner" also offers up-to-date game coverage and highlights. Although no live stream, espn.go and Gamecast both offer great ballgame updates on scores and lineups.

The ALDS and NLDS were both very exciting series this year, with all four ballgame series making it up to the crucial Game 5. The Yankees, who ended their regular MLB season as AL East champs, won out over the Baltimore Orioles. The Detroit Tigers yo-yoed wins and losses with the Oakland Athletics, ultimately coming out victorious in the end. The San Francisco Giants battled it out with the Cincinnati Reds, winning Game 5 (6-4). The Cardinals finally ousted out the Nationals late last Friday night, winning 6-4. The Giants and Cardinals are currently battling it out in Game 3 (Wednesday, Oct. 17).
