'American Horror Story' Hotel [SPOILERS]: Jessica Lange Done, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer & Cheyenne Jackson Join Lady Gaga in Season 5

American Horror Story might be checking into a hotel later this year, but it doesn't look like the whole cast will be meeting us for a continental breakfast. The FX horror anthology from the mind of Ryan Murphy revealed earlier this week that it would be losing some of the staple cast members that fan have grown to know and love including Jessica Lange. So what does Lange's departure mean for the series, and who will be stepping in to replace her?

The gang was present for a panel discussion at PaleyFest, which took place last week to discuss the new season, and this is where Jessica broke the news to her fans that she would no longer be part of the show.

"Yes, I'm done," the Emmy and Oscar Award winning actress explained. "We've had a great run here. I have absolutely loved doing these four characters that I've had the opportunity to play. In all the madness, I've loved the writers, my actors, Ryan and the whole, I mean, insanity of it, shooting here, shooting in New Orleans, the stories, everything."

With Jessica gone, fans are curiously wondering how the series is going to fill the huge void. Well according to E! News, FX head John Langraf explained that there would be a huge change behind the series and that it was going to be reinvented in a large way.

The site even speculated that Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Kathy Bates might not be making their returns to the franchise.

However, while the fate of most of the returning cast members is still up in the air, Ryan Murphy did tweet about a familiar face that would be checking into the hotel.

"Thrilled to announce Wes Bentley will be a series regular on AHS: Hotel," the show's frontrunner wrote.

The new season will also star Lady Gaga, Cheyenne Jackson and Matt Bomer and will premiere this October.
