Joining the likes of Wayne Newton, Penn & Teller, Britney Spears and the once great Tonight Show host Johnny Carson, as acts who called Las Vegas their performance home is the one and only Chris Brown. The artist with a history of violence and radio hits recently inked a deal with Drais LIVE Show promotions and he'll be taking the stage the night of the legendary Manny Pacquiao/Floyd Mayweather fight on May 2.

The difference between Brown's residency and residencies of a Penn & Teller or Carson's is that Brown won't be in town every weekend. Following that May 2 show he'll be back in Vegas on July 4. If all goes well for Brown though, you can expect him to keep on adding shows.

If you'd like to check him out in Vegas you can purchase tickets at DraisLV.com.

Whether you like Brown or not, he has been looking at a string of good luck these last few weeks. His biggest announcement came last week when a judge ordered the end of his probationary period. Of course, that probationary period was due to the now infamous 2009 Rihanna assault where the R&B singer attacked his then-girlfriend before the Grammys.

Brown's image hasn't been the same after that TMZ picture of Rihanna's battered face hit the net. For six years he was in-and-out courts, fights and battled with his damaged public opinion. During that time he was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and complications stemming from substance abuse.

With his probation behind him, not only does Brown have one of the more coveted positions in entertainment, he'll also get a chance to be around his daughter Royalty more. Following his court appearance Brown said he would be taking the time to be a better father and family man.

"It ain't even about me no more," Brown told his Friend Tyga. "It's about Royalty now."
