The body of Whitney Heichel, the young Oregon women who mysteriously went missing on her way to work at Starbucks this week, was found in a remote area on Friday. The 21-year-old's body was discovered in the forested area of Larch Mountain - Heichel's neighbor, 24-year-old Jonathon Holt, has been arrested and is undergoing police investigation for aggravated murder.

According to reports, Heichel left her Gresham apartment at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 16) to get to her 7 a.m. shift at a local Starbucks. Her husband, Clint, called police about three hours later after Heichel's boss she didn't show up for work, and Clint failed to reach her multiple times on her cell phone.

Clues soon started to pop up - Heichel's ATM card was used at a nearby Troutdale gas station Tuesday morning, her SUV was later found parked in a Wal-Mart parking lot with its passenger side window smashed in, not too long after a child discovered her cell phone lying in an open field between the gas station and Wal-Mart... police began searching the Larch Mountain on Wednesday, believing Heichel's vehicle probably drove through the area.

The Heichel's neighbor, Jonathan Holt, was interviewed on Wednesday and Thursday before being arrested on Friday. According to police Chief Craig Junginger, there were "many inconsistencies" with his story. Additional DNA and fingerprints used as crime lab evidence also tied Holt to Heichel's vehicle the morning she went missing. Holt lived in the same apartment building as the Heichels.

Family spokesman Jim Vaughn told reporters this on Friday: "Really, words can't begin to express the sadness that our families are experiencing tonight. Whitney was a very loving person. She was warm, she was kind, she was everything you would want in a friend, relative, spiritual fellow worshipper."

The Heichels asks for privacy during their unfortunate moment of loss and heartache.
