NJ police and authorities are currently searching for 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale, a young girl who went missing from her father's home in Clayton, NJ on Saturday. Pasquale was last seen riding her white BMX Odyssey bike away from her father's home at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 20). NJ police are currently asking the public for help in their search for young Pasquale, and would like any individuals with information regarding her disappearance to step forward.
"When you wake up in the morning and your daughter's still not home, it's time to panic," Autumn's mother Jenn Cornwall told reporters. "I don't know who she was supposed to meet up with. She just left and said she was meeting a friend."
According to Cornwall, Pasquale had communicated with her briefly through text messages about 15 minutes after leaving her father's home. That is the last anyone has heard from her.
Pasquale's father Tony insists his daughter is not one who would cause a panic by running away - "The police expressed runaway. I totally disagree with that, because it's not her at all. She's responsible, respectful. She's a good girl."
Tony Pasquale reported Autumn missing around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. Since then, hundreds of family members, friends and volunteers have been searching the area in hopes of bringing Autumn back home. Clayton Police search units were joined by the K-9 units of Gloucester County Child Abduction Response Team and officers/firefighters from other surrounding towns. An NJ State Police helicopter has combed the area, and the FBI is also involved in the search.
A Facebook page dedicated to finding Autumn Pasquale can be found here. She is described as a 5-foot-2-inch tall blonde weighing about 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing navy blue shorts underneath navy blue sweatpants, a yellow T-shirt with "Clayton Soccer" on front, and bright blue high-top sneakers.
