Nicki Minaj almost fell victim to an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on stage at U.K.'s Manchester Arena on Monday night. Thankfully the cleavage slip was avoided, due to the strategic placement of some sticky pasties! As soon as Minaj began bouncing around onstage in her adorable little black dress ensemble, her bustier top began riding lower and lower, almost revealing her breasts. But just when the crowd thought they were going to get more of a Minaj show than they had bargained for, out popped two nude, flower-shaped pasties. Minaj nip-slip save - 1, wardrobe malfunction, 0 (well that's not totally true, Minaj has "accidently" exposed herself on a number of other occasions thanks to costume mishaps).
Check out how Minaj's well-placed pasties do their job here.
Minaj continued on with her performance as if nothing had happened, until she addressed the crowd later on with this statement:
"You guys have seen my boobs before. You won't tell anyone, will you? You guys have seen my boobs before. You won't tell anyone, will you?"
Looks like Minaj found the potential nip-slip pretty amusing, so guess there's nothing to be embarrassed about.
Minaj warned that a wardrobe malfunction was possible at her show on Sunday evening at Nottingham's Capital FM Arena (the first stop on Minaj's U.K.-leg of the tour) because of tour glitches. Still, some fans weren't so amused, assuming that Minaj allowed her nude pasties to show merely for attention.
"She obviously knew they were going to pop out if she had nipple covers on in the first place. Attention seeker" a Daily Mail blogger charged.
Even so, many fans were just thankful that they got an eyeful of pasties rather than actual cleavage:
"At least she had made an effort to cover them!" another blogger wrote. "Kardashian's mother should take a note!"
Many Hollywood starlets have fallen victim to embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions - just recently, Jennifer Lopez's cleavage sprung out onstage during a performance in Italy.
