IGN reports that "Jaws 3-D" may finally debut in Blu Ray - this modernized version of the sequel to Steven Spielberg's classic 1975 horror blockbuster "Jaws" would feature high-definition, three-dimensional visuals. Fans were disappointed when "Jaws 3-D" wasn't released on Blu Ray alongside the original "Jaws" on August 24. But here's some good news for all classic horror movie fans - looks like the hit second sequel is finally on its way to being available through the popular high-density optical disc form.
"Jaws 3-D" (also known as "Jaws 3" or "Jaws III") is a 1983 horror/thriller film directed by Joe Alves and starring Dennis Quaid, Bess Armstrong, Lea Thompson and Louis Gossett, Jr. It is the second sequel to Steven Spielberg's "Jaws."
During the "12 Hours of Terror" movie marathon at Capitol Theater in Cleveland, OH last weekend, Universal debuted a brand-new digital 3D print of "Jaws 3-D." Rumors had it that Universal was preparing for a "Jaws 3-D" Blu Ray release, but no information had been released until the horror fest screening.
No other details have yet to be released and there's no word if or when there might be another "Jaws 3D" Blue Ray screening - but horror fanatics who caught the screening in Ohio so far give the film rave review. Check out a sneak-peak below!
