While they seemed like a match made in music heaven, Katy Perry and John Mayer have officially called it quits on their relationship. While the couple has been on-again/off-again for some time, it seems that this time the split is going to be permanent. That's right: All you Jaty or Kohn shippers out there are going to have to find a new celebrity couple to root for. Katy and John were together for two years before calling it off last winter, only to get back together briefly this January. So it's safe to say that those pregnancy and wedding rumors between John and Katy aren't going to happen.

What caused the pair to officially make the decision to put their love in the past? Well, it seems that during their break their intense love connection cooled off.

While it was being reported that Perry's intense touring schedule for her Prismatic World Tour was the main reason the pair fell apart, according to E! News, it was simply a lack of emotion on John's end.

The Paradise Valley singer has been telling friends that he and Katy are "over for good," while adding that a "lack of emotional interest on his end" is what ultimately led to the demise in the love connection.

But it doesn't look like Katy is wasting any time being sad about John's decision to end things for good, as she was spotted getting cozy with Mumford & Sons musician Winston Marshall. The two musicians were spotted together in Berlin, where they were both touring, according to the (New York) Daily News.

The news site also reported that the last time Perry and Mayer were spotted together was a few days after her Super Bowl Halftime performance at the beginning of February, where he was there to cheer on the "Firework" singer.
