"Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars" switched things up in week 5 of the competition, allowing the dancers to compete in two separate freestyle group routines on both Monday and Tuesday night's episodes. And what better tunes to team up with on than the mega-viral hits - Psy's "Gangnam Style" and Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe?" Both group routines tore up the dance floor, but Mstarz readers, which did it better? Read on to watch the routines and cast your vote in the Mstarz poll.
On Monday night's episode (Oct. 22) the freestyle group routine was made up of the teams: Sabrina Bryan and partner Louis Van Amstel, Shawn Johnson and partner Derek Hough, Apolo Anton Ohno and partner Karina Smirnoff, and Melissa Rycroft and partner Tony Dovolani. The teen-bopping dance revolved around Jepsen's catchy, hit tune "Call Me Maybe," check it out:
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba's reaction: "You've got spirit, yes you do. You've got spirit, I love you!" The routine scored a high of 29.5 points.
On Tuesday night's "Gangnam Style" themed episode (Oct. 23), teams Gilles Marini and partner Peta Murgatroyd, Kelly Monaco and partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Emmitt Smith and partner Cheryl Burke, Kirstie Alley and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy got a little crazy on the dance floor (not to mention their costumes were eye-popping!):
According to Judge Len Goodman, "That was the craziest number I have ever seen. It wasn't tight, it wasn't together, but it was fun." The group scored 27 points for the fresh routine.
