Taylor Swift Funny 'Grey's Anatomy' Message from Ellen Pompeo as Meredith After Cat Instagram Attack

Taylor Swift might be obsessed with Ellen Pompeo's character of Meredith Grey on Grey's Anatomy, even naming her cat after the doctor, but their two worlds collided earlier this week when Pompeo reached out to the "Blank Space" singer through her social media accounts.

The singer took to her Instagram account earlier this month to post a picture of a scratch that her cat, cleverly titled Meredith after the TV character, left on her leg.

"GREAT WORK MEREDITH," the 1989 singer wrote under the bloody picture. "I WAS JUST TRYING TO LOVE YOU AND NOW YOU OWE ME 40 MILLION DOLLARS."

Pompeo used the opportunity to respond to Swift, giving the singer some doctoral advice on what to do with the wound.

"This is awkward because my namesake did this but as your doctor please keep that scratch clean! Yours truly, the real Dr. Grey," the 45-year-old actor commented on the Instagram picture.

According to Us Weekly, this isn't the first time that one of Taylor's cat's namesakes has reached out to the "Style" singer. The 25-year-old songstress named her other cat after Mariska Hargitay's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit character Olivia Benson, which has provided for some cute social media moments between Swift and Mariska.

In fact, Ellen Pompeo and Mariska Hargitay got together last month, and posed for a cute picture with each other that they tweeted out to Taylor.

"This one goes out to @TaylorSwift13 #CatsOutOfTheBag #NFL #NationalFelineLeague #MeowMeow #CatsMeow," the SVU star wrote on the picture.

The singer was more than estastic that she had a picture of the two women together, and all that she could muster in response was an "OH.MY.GOD."
