Axl Rose, the controversial front man of the infamous rock 'n' roll band Guns N Roses, sat down for a little chat on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Wednesday evening (Oct. 24) - the 50-year-old's first live TV interview in over 20 years. The best part - Rose actually showed up on time! And he seemed about his wits (for the most part) as well. Check out the interview below, where Rose talks about his upcoming residency in Las Vegas, his endorsement of Obama, and how he prefers decorating a Halloween tree over a Christmas tree.

Rose appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to promote his upcoming 12-night residency at Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel and Casino deemed "Appetite for Democracy" (which kicks-off Oct. 31). Reports have it that the concert set list includes many Guns N Roses classics, with hits ranging from 1987's "Appetite for Destruction" to 2008's "Chinese Democracy" (hence the blurring of the names, "Appetite for Democracy).

Some highlights from the Kimmel-Rose interview (the videos can be viewed below):

A fan asks who Rose will be voting for in the 2012 presidential election this upcoming November. Although Rose appears to endorse Obama, he admits that he's not the "voting type" - "Uh... I haven't really voted... Well, I'm in California, and it usually leans Democratic, and that's usually where I'm leaning anyway. And that's usually where I'm leaning anyway. I would lean Democrat. I would lean Obama."

According to Rose - Halloween > Christmas. The high-pitched singer has a tree in his house which he decorates for Halloween. "That's the most evil thing I've ever done," Rose joked. Apparently he likes to tease little trick-or-treaters with the idea - "I say to them, 'You mean you don't have a Halloween tree?'"

Wrapping up the interview (which was an overall success) Rose handed out pairs of tickets to his upcoming Las Vegas show. He then invited the audience and crew out for burgers from a Tom's Burgers truck that he brought to the set with him, check it out:

Extra fun fact - looks like Rose may be teaming up with the legendary singer/songwriter Neil Young. During a live Twitter chat session with fans on Wednesday, Neil tweeted: ""Axl and I are doing a world tour together #askneil."
