Felicia Garcia, a young teen who allegedly faced constant bullying at her high school in NY, jumped in front of an oncoming westbound train at the Huguenot Staten Island Railway station on Thursday (Oct. 24), resulting in the 15-year-old's tragic death. Friends looked on in horror as a tearful Garcia broke away from her fellow Tottenville High School peers and suddenly jumped in front of the fast-moving train at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. According to fellow classmates, Garcia was a victim of nonstop gossip rumors and taunting - when will such tragic cases of youth bullying finally end?

Following her fatal jump, Garcia was rushed to the Staten Island University Hospital and soon after pronounced dead. Amanda Liquori, a senior at Tottenville High School, told the New York Post, "She got bullied in the school, especially by the football players, because she looked different and had piercings."

Since the unfortunate news of Garcia's passing, many indivuduals and fellow students have expressed their sympathies and condolences on Twitter, insisting that such harmful bullying has gotten way too out-of-hand:

@OPTIMUSVARGAS: "RIP Felicia Garcia. Another beauty lost to cruel words and meaningless taunting."

@Alissacompz: "Rest in paradise Felica Garcia. You were such a strong girl. It's not fair that you were bullied and pushed that far. All this girl wanted was to be left alone. And nobody could do that for her" (Garcia's close friend, Alissa Compitello).

@anguh_: "RIP Felicia Garcia - so sad, a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Remember...HIGH SCHOOL DOESN'T LAST FOREVER - IT GETS BETTER."

Garcia, who lived between foster homes, tweeted this just days before her death: "I can't. I'm done. I give up."

According to fellow peer Gabriella Leone (whose younger sister witnessed the incident) - "[Felicia] had a terrible life on top of all the heartache - bullies at school taunted her and spread rumors. I hope all bullies get punished!"

Garcia's tragic suicide comes just a few weeks after the unfortunate death of Amanda Todd, a 15-year-old Canadian teen who committed suicide after being treacherously bullied online and by her school peers (after a man supposedly posted and circulated pictures of her exposed breasts on the internet). Just two years ago, a Tottenville High School boy also killed himself at the same Staten Island station. Maybe some more serious measures should be taken against school bullying so such tragic teenage suicides don't continue to rise.

A "R.I.P. Felicia Garcia, Stop Bullying" page has since been formed on Facebook.
