Ellen DeGeneres' relationship with longtime life partner Portia de Rossi is doing just fine! The beloved television host admits that she doesn't want to have any children, and apparently, the 42-year-old Australian actress is totally accepting of that.

So, why are seedy rumors now reemerging online that the "Arrested Development" starlet is contemplating divorce if DeGeneres doesn't change her mind about starting a family?

An alleged source for the (somewhat unreliable) gossip tabloid InTouch explains that de Rossi is secretly "crushed." She truly believed that DeGenres would eventually accept the idea of raising a baby together:

"Ellen may be saying she never wanted kids, but her wife, Portia, certainly did... They used to discuss the possibility of kids often, either Portia carrying the baby or adopting."

But DeGeneres' future "promises" of motherhood were never actually serious. She was just saying such things to "appease" her wife during the Honeymoon stage of their marriage. Several years passed, and still no luck. The insider concludes:

"Portia was heartbroken when Ellen came clean. Her dreams were shattered."

And now their relationship is suffering - again.

Do MstarsNews readers believe the recent over-sensationalized report? Well, don't. Another "legit" snitch for GossipCop insists that such "heartbreaking" claims are simply untrue and that the divorce buzz is "totally off base." DeGeneres and de Rossi are happy just as a close family of two!

And just to reiterate this point, the "One Big Happy" executive producer said this during a rather candid Today Show interview with Matt Lauer:

"I love kids. But that's such a big commitment. And it seems long-term. It seems like a commitment that you have to stick with... And I just don't know if I can - it's too risky. Like, what if I don't like the kid? What if it turns out that it's not as cute as I wanted or as talented? I'm gonna compare it to all these kids that I have on this show that are so smart and so funny. And I'm like, 'You are nowhere near these kids I had on today.' I think I'm getting too old. They're cute, but no."
