It seems like Queen of pop Madonna is more interested in promoting President Barack Obama in view of the upcoming elections, than touring America in support of her latest album, MDNA.

During Saturday night's performance in New Orleans, Madonna was booed by fans in the middle of her concert when she took an opportunity during a timeout to promote the incumbent President. Several concertgoers reportedly walked out of the show after she introduced the topic of politics onstage.

"I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama," she said, according to Daily News. Noting the boo-boo reactions from the gathering, she said, "Seriously, I don't care who you vote for ... Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote."

Last month, when she was performing in Washington D.C as part of her MDNA tour, Madonna left her fans dumbfound, besides making headlines for campaigning for Obama with her profanity -laced words and calling him a "black Muslim". Meanwhile, she spoke about politics and its history concerning US, ranging from Abraham Lincoln to Martin Luther King Jr.

In a video available on YouTube shows, Madonna during her performance for fans of Washington D.C heaps praises on Obama and his efforts in support of gay rights. She said that "now it's so amazing and incredible to think that we have an African-American in the White House. So you all better vote for fu**ing Obama...for better or worse we have a 'black Muslim in the White House'...it means there is hope in this country and Obama is fighting for gay rights, so support the man. "

As for as, her 'Obama Muslim' remark is concerned she apparently contended that her comments on religion of the American President was meant to be "ironic."

The Material Girl's rep issued a statement clarifying that her remark was an elaborate tongue-in-cheek attempt and not a slip-up.

"I was being ironic on stage. Yes, I know Obama is not a Muslim-though I know that plenty of people in this country think he is. And what if he were? The point I was making is that a good man is a good man, no matter who he prays to. I don't care what religion Obama is-nor should anyone else in America," Modana said in a statement according to E! News.
