Before this news, the latest casting rumors we heard involved Bryan Cranston. Could these two actors be up for the same role? Check out our previous coverage on this news here!

We should mention that Simon Pegg was one of the actors to deny that Benedict Cumberbatch was portraying Khan in Star Trek Into Darkness. We found out that this was indeed the case, making us a little wary to trust Pegg, who is denying the Klingon rumors this week!

"That's not true. No, no, no," Pegg said in a new interview with Absolute Radio, according to Slash Film. "I heard there's a rumor he's been spoken to about stuff, so he may be in the film but he won't be a Klingon."

Pegg wasn't done there, though. He added some more fuel to the fire by laughingly exclaiming, "Or maybe he will!" Clearly, we'll have to wait for more official casting news and maybe even a trailer to see if and who Elba is in this movie.

You can check out the clip of Pegg denying this new rumor during his Absolute Radio appearance right here:
