Julio Iglesias Jr. Weds Charisse Verhaert: Spanish Singer Marries Longtime Model Girlfriend in Private Spain Ceremony

Spanish singer Julio Iglesias, Jr. married his longtime girlfriend and popular Belgian model Charisse Verhaert on Saturday, Nov. 3. The duo wed in a small, private ceremony amongst close friends and family in Aldea del Fresno, Spain. Iglesias Jr.'s legendary father Julio Iglesias attended the matrimonial event, as well as his mother (socialite and former journalist) Isabel Preysler. 39-year-old Iglesias, Jr. and 30-year-old Verhaert, who have been together for eight years, publically announced their engagement back in May 2011.

Although the wedding ceremony was private, Fox News Latino reports that a stunning Verhaert pulled up to the venue in a white Mercedes at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Saturday - Iglesias, Jr. arrived 40 minutes later in a green SUV. Enrique Iglesias, the superstar younger brother of the "Under My Eyes" crooner, could not attend the happy event because of scheduling conflicts - Ana Boyer and Iglesias' half-sister, Tamara Falco, served as bridesmaids.

Iglesias, Jr., who has released three hit studio albums, was named the winner of CMT's reality television competition "Gone Country" in 2008. His single "The Way I Want You" was released to country radio on March 10, 2008. Iglesias, Jr. also worked as a host for the Travel Channel, where he introduced television viewers to the wonders of Latin America.

Iglesias, Jr. formerly dated tennis star Anna Kournikova. Rumors had it that the couple tied the knot back in 2001, but such reports proved false - the duo also dated for eight years. Iglesias, Jr. is also a popular model, and has even tried his hand at acting (guest appearing in hit shows such as "Two and a Half Men," "How I Met your Mother," and "Out of the Blue").
