Kendrick Lamar, Whitney Alford Wedding Confirmed: 'To Pimp A Butterfly' Stars Confirms Engagement

Rapper Kendrick Lamar confirmed his engagement to The Breakfast Club April 3 after fans suspected the couple of being secretly engaged when his fiancée, Whitney Alford was spotted wearing a diamond ring.

He confirmed to DJ Envy that the rumors were true, "Yea, definitely. I'm loyal to the soil."

A photo obtained by The Shade Room, the "To Pimp A Butterfly" rapper showed up to a meet and greet with his lovely lady of 10 years who was rocking a huge diamond on her ring finger hinting that the rapper could be celebrating upcoming nuptials as well!

The Compton rapper opened up about his mystery girlfriend to singer Erykah Badu for Interview magazine where he admitted that she was his "asshole-checker" saying, "The main one is a friend of mine-a lady friend who has known me since high school. She has always been someone, since day one, who has said something whenever I'm an asshole, or also if I'm doin' something positive-but more so when I'm out of my element."

He added that Whitney wasn't your typical entourage "yes man" you see most rappers with, "While you have people who are actually fronting for your needs and wants, sometimes your needs and wants may not be right for you. The people around you are just trying to keep their jobs."
