Season 3 of the CW's Arrow is nearing its conclusion, and one of the more memorable moments from the third season was the return of Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke.

But somewhat surprisingly, Bennett revealed in a recent interview that he was a bit displeased with how the show handled the character.

"I think Deathstroke had a lot of possibilities with Arrow but, I think they took it in the wrong direction," Bennett said, according to Comic Book Movie. “I think they should have honoured the Marv Wolfman character who was literally unstoppable. I read the DC comic books and thought Deathstroke was so bad arse because they make it that nobody can stop him. He’s not even super-powered. He is just a mercenary."

Bennet then discussed his opinion about Deathstroke's most recent appearnace in the Season 3 episode "The Return" and revealed that he did not like the way Arrow brought him back.

“It took the Justice League to defeat him. It took an army to take him on," he said. "In Arrow, it took a while for Oliver [Queen/Arrow] to prove his point, but [Season Three] was just a beating of Slade, adding insult to injury.”

The show returns on Wednesday, April 15 with a new episode entitled "Broken Arrow." Some new promotional photos from the episode have been released that show Deathbolt (guest star Doug Jones) vs. The Atom (Brandon Routh).

Comic Book Movie has the photos, which you can check out here.

A new extended promo for "Broken Arrow" reveals a moment that Olicity fans have been wanting for years.

In related news, the "Matt's Inside Line" column at TVLine has some spoilers on the episode.

"Is someone dying in the 'Broken Arrow' episode of Arrow? If so, any clues? -Kyle
Ah yes, the infamous '65th episode' that both Stephen Amell and Colton Haynes tweetbooked ominous/sad things about. Since then, Haynes has clarified, 'I don't think it's as serious as everyone took it. It was just a very emotional scene' that he was commenting on. Meaning, there might (might) not be any significant deaths. 'We will be saying goodbye to people,' Haynes allows, 'but I think it was just kind of blown out of proportion.'"
