ASAP Rocky is still mourning the death of his friend, ASAP Yams on Instagram. April 5, the rap star posted a photo of him with his deceased friend captioning the photo, "I MISS U SOO MUCH AND I LOVE YOU MY NI***."

Recently, the "Goldie" rapper opened up about his co-founder's death to MTV  and says that the official cause of death was from him choking on his vomit in his sleep after drug intake and added that the 26-year-old had a serious case of sleep apnea.

In a sit down interview with MTV, the "F**kin' Problems" rapper addressed recent reports that ASAP Yams death was caused by a mix of opiates and benzodiazepine, "What happen was, we put Yams in rehab, it was really expensive and I went away to London- that was my rehab. By August it was just me and YAMS out there and that's when we were working and he started getting back on his black out boy shit."

The New York native continued, "He choked on his vomit. He suffocated on his vomit in his sleep. If it was drugs in his body or not he still suffocated on his vomit but 9 times out of 10 the only way you can suffocate of your vomit is if you have sleep apnea."

According to Mayoclinic.com, "Sleep apnea is a potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts. You may have sleep apnea if you snore loudly and you feel tired even after a full night's sleep."

ASAP told the MTV reporter that Yams had his sleeping issues for a long time and that his team tried to get him help after some health scares, "My manager wanted to get him this thing, it's like a face thing (that helps you breathe) when you sleep because he would be choking on his own tongue. I can pull up videos now and this ain't me justifying it, Yams, that's what he did- he got high."
