Kanye West might be the most eccentric, polarizing personality in the public sphere. He's such a force that someone even created a bible in his name and is selling it on Etsy. This is why it's completely surprising that he ended up settling a suit with a paparazzo by simply apologizing. There was no flashy display. Not even an outburst on how the celebrity photogs are one of the worst things about this planet -- just a simple handshake with photographer Daniel Ramos to end a civil suit that stemmed from charges of misdemeanor battery.

The incident with Ramos took place in 2013 at LAX Airport. Knowing all the influential figures that pass in and out of the airport, Ramos stationed himself there and things went awry when he ran into West, who allegedly felt Ramos was invading his personal space and attacked him.

Two years later, the case has been put away with the simple apology, and it's unknown whether West had to pay up for the battery charges. Ramos's lawyer Gloria Allred said this case sets a precedent when it comes to attacking the paparazzi.

"We believe that this case sent an important message," she was quoted as saying. "Celebrities are not above the law, and they have no right to physically attack someone simply because they were asked a question."

When the incident first occurred West said he acted in self-defense. Court documents obtained by TMZ stated West believed he was in "immediate danger" and that's why he should not lay out anything to Ramos.

"Plaintiff (Ramos) is not entitled to any claims set forth in this complaint because at the time and place mentioned in the complaint, plaintiff willfully and wrongfully caused Defendant (West) to reasonably believe his safety was in immediate danger," the document stated. "Defended responded to this assault by doing only those acts that were reasonably necessary for his self-defense and safety and was justified in doing those acts."

Who enjoyed the finale? #KUWTK @iamkimwest you are beautiful!
