'The Americans' Season 3: Ep 11: 'One Day In The Life of Anton Baklanov' Recap: Will Matthew Rhys Help Martha Lie?

Season 3 of The Americans continues on FX with Episode 11. With their secret is out in the open, will undercover spies Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth (Keri Russell) Jennings be able to keep their family together in "One Day in the Life of Anton Baklanov?"

Paige (Holly Taylor) hounds her parents with questions, which makes them all uncomfortable. The conversation turns crazy when Paige asks about their neighbor and her brother, Henry. At the breakfast table, Henry notices something odd with his sister.  

Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) hands in files to the director, who is checking over their mistakes. Gabriel (Frank Langella) meets with Philip and Elizabeth, pleased that Paige now knows who they are. With Elizabeth ready with the hotel manager, Philip is unsure though with Yussef. Gabriel then hands another envelope to Elizabeth from her mother. 

Nina (Annet Mahendru) appears to be gaining the trust of her target, the scientist. He doesn't feel good about sleeping with strangers sent for him. His son doesn't even know if he's alive or not. As Michelle, Elizabeth meets with Lisa and Maurice at their home. With the threat of losing their house, Lisa is willing to trade secrets to her and Jack. 

Martha (Alison Wright) discovers she is going to be interviewed again. Yussef tells Philip about the CIA's new weapon system and three operatives. Elizabeth then finds Paige sitting in her car. She promises to answer all of Paige's questions when it is absolutely sure no one is listening. Elizabeth tells memories of her mother, but Paige isn't sure if she can believe her. 

Oleg (Costa Ronin) and Tatiana have to translate the recording they've gotten from FBI headquarters. As Clark, Philip meets with Martha, who's scared of the questions she'll be asked.  Philip guides Martha, telling her where to look, teaching her how to lie, so that she doesn't appear nervous. 

Elizabeth is on her date with the hotel manager. Elizabeth continues her seduction as she takes him to bed. Nina searches through the scientist's room and finds notebook in his bed. She reads the letters he's writing to his son. 

After her rendezvous, Elizabeth returns home with tears in her eyes. Philip needs Gabriel to step a trip for Elizabeth to see her mother one last time. As the two argue, Gabriel wants to know if Philip is falling. Philip leaves because all he wants is Gabriel to say yes to something.

During her interrogation, Martha handles herself very well with her lies. Nina eats with the scientist as he tells her more about his son. He won't let his captors tell him who he is. Nina screws up and reveals his son's name. Nina promises not to tell anyone about the letters.

Elizabeth meets with the hotel manager in his office and shows her the computer, Betsy. While Philip distracts the hotel manager, Elizabeth goes through the archives and copies a key. Oleg though is bored reading through the recordings and jokes around with Tatiana.

Elizabeth strips naked before getting into bed with Philip. He has a plan for Elizabeth to meet her mother but they're interrupted by Paige's knocking. Paige leaves the room in awkward silence when Elizabeth says she can't.
