When Marvel Comics says there are going to kill a comic book character, they really mean it. Twitter, even his live-action counterpart Ryan Reynolds, had lots to say when Marvel presented the last pages of Deadpool #250 (aka Deadpool #40) as Wade Wilson met his untimely death, which ties into upcoming Secret Wars event.

According to IGN,  the issue featured the merc with a mouth killing Flag Smasher and his henchmen in a bloody action sequence. In the last pages, Deadpool and friends were actually enjoying their celebration on a yacht. Suddenly, the sky lights up as everyone is incinerated by the planet's collision with the Ultimate Earth.

Breaking the fourth wall, like he always does, Deadpool's last words are, "I can live with this finale."

As we previously mentioned, Secret Wars features the Marvel superheroes from alternate realities coming together to meet in an epic standoff. The Marvel's superheroes and super-villains will be forced to defend themselves for the survival of their universe. There will be no Marvel Universe, no Ultimate Universe, or any other, just Battleworld.

Comic Book Resources reports that The Voices actor went to his official Twitter account to share a selfie. Showing way too much information, Reynolds is reading "Deadpool" #250 on the toilet. The caption states, "Smells like someone died up in here. #alivepool."

Someone please tell me he washed his hands after that.

Check out what Twitter had to to say:

@mattrash tweets, "Finally finished reading Deadpool #250 (aka #45) The Death of Deadpool!! Definitely one that is gonna be remembered for while!! #Deadpool"

@Williamson_Josh mentions, "The Death of Deadpool was pretty awesome. Bravo to @GerryDuggan, @thebrianposehn, @MikeHawthorne, @cracksh0t & @whoajordie for a fun issue."

@minjaa_ssassin writes, "The day has come. The Death of Deadpool. Decked out in Deadpool gear to honor him. #250 #Deadpool #Marvel #Comics #Dedz #canibethenextdeadpool"

Deadpool #250 is out in stores now.
