The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1, and Entertainment Weekly has loads of new information about the film.

First, EW reveals that Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange are not found in Age of Ultron. Black Panther is also missing, although there is a "tease." Spider-Man is also not referenced, but the Winter Soldier is mentioned. Heimdall appears as a "vision." As for characters that appear in the flesh, we are scheduled to see The Falcon, Peggy Carter, and War Machine are all set to show up as well.

Meanwhile, the identity of Linda Cardellini's character remains a mystery. "[Joss] Whedon and [Kevin] Feige want to keep her a surprise, and they’re absolutely right. The emotional payoff that comes from her reveal is worth the wait. I will say this: she’s no one you’ve ever heard of, not a superhero, not a villain. She’s a person. An important one. And the fact that you don’t know her is part of the reason why." Meanwhile, Julie Delpy plays Black Widow's instructor in a flashback to her time as a youth in Russia.

Someone "important" will die in the sequel, and his or her passing is not a misdirection or plan for resurrection. Does this mean the rumors about Quicksilver's demise were true?

The identity of the mystery woman from the trailer apparently won't be resolved in the movie, as she has been cut.

Furthermore, "Thor’s whole journey to this cave is a bit of a headscratcher, which suggests a subplot that was seriously truncated."

Finally, Wakanda is referenced in the movie and Ultron does search for Vibranium. This leads him to Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis), an arms dealer who has access to it. He loses a hand in this encounter, which leads to a major return in Black Panther.
