"Les Miserables" actress Anne Hathaway graces the upcoming cover of the December issue of Vogue, flaunting a beautiful and sleek pixie do' (the 30-year-old having cut her naturally long brunette locks for the highly-anticipated British musical drama film, which hits theaters on Christmas Day). Hathaway also hosted a recent episode of "Saturday Night Live," opening the show with a spectacular and amusing rendition of "One More Day." Even given her very serious and rather gloomy role of a struggling single mother-turned prostitute in "Les Miserables," Hathaway proves she can still provide the laughs after starring in some very entertaining skits on the popular live sketch comedy show.

Hathaway had to make many personal changes for her role of Fontaine in the upcoming film "Les Miserables" - both physical and emotional (the starlet quickly dropped ten pounds for the part, prompting rumors of an unhealthy "starvation diet," which Hathaway's rep completely denies). Hathaway confesses in the feature interview with Vogue - "I was in such a state of deprivation-physical and emotional. When I got home, I couldn't react to the chaos of the world without being overwhelmed [...] It took me weeks till I felt like myself again."

Now that filming for "Les Miserables" is done, Hathaway is ready to return to her "normal" life with beau Adam Shulman. For more Vogue photos and information on the exclusive Hathaway interview (plus more pics of the entire "Les Miserables" cast), check out the magazine's website.

On a lighter note, check out Hathaway hosting SNL, as popular cast members of the hit comedy show join her onstage for a spectacular (and hilarious) rendition of "One More Day." This is Hathaway's third time hosting the show, and this time around the starlet proves she has some killer vocals (fans should therefore expect an impressive musical performance in "Les Miserables"):

Hathaway then went on to prove that she still indeed has a funny side. Check out this skit spoofing the popular American drama/thriller series, "Homeland."

Be sure to check out "Les Miserables," starring Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Hugh Jackman, and Russell Crowe when it hits theaters nationwide on Christmas Day (December 25, 2012).
