R&B crooner Janelle Monae is known for her rather unique and funky fashion sense. But apparently, the "Tightrope" songstress' personal style is a bit too "conservative" for some fans. And Monae could care less!

According to the popular gossip webloid bossip.com, the 29-year-old beauty finally flaunted some skin at a recent listening party in NYC - and her body looks pretty darn good!

But soon afterwards, Monae went right back to her signature pantsuit look. And one particular tweeter took notice in a rather negative way:

@mellow_saa: "@JanelleMonae girl stop being so soulful and be sexy... tired of those dumba$$ suits... you fine but u too damn soulful man :/."

Not cool - Monae doesn't cover-up ALL the time (just check out her official Instagram account). But even if she did, what does it really matter, right?

Well, Monae actually decided to respond to this derogatory online "hater" -

@JanelleMonae: "@mellow_saa sit down. I'm not for male consumption."

Awesome. Monae's epic retort is now going viral online - the quick comeback was already "favorited" and re-posted thousands of times. And to push her point even further, The Electric Lady superstar later re-tweeted:

@WhiteHouse: "It's 2015. Women should earn the same pay as men for doing the same work. Period. #EqualPayDay."

And of course, the guy quickly backtracked:

@mellow_saa: "Rewind that one time..."

@mellow_saa: "Janelle is a beautiful woman. She's like a Modern-day Erykah Badu. I was wrong for judging her style. Sorry @JanelleMonae."

Meanwhile, Monae continues hyping her new song featuring Jidenna entitled "Yoga." Hey - the clip's pretty hot!

But Monae wants to be known for her voice and talent - not booty and sex appeal. And that seems to be working for her just fine!
