David Letterman is winding down his legendary position as the host of the Late Show. Before handing the torch over to Stephen Colbert, Letterman is having a slew of A-list guests on the final episodes of his program. One such name will be the Dave Matthews Band. And not only will DMB be performing on the show, they will also reportedly perform a 45-minute set on what's called Legends on Letterman. The mini-concert will air the day before their Late Show appearance, which is Friday, May 8. Meaning of course that their Legends on Letterman series will be cast online on May 7 at 9 p.m.

This performance will be the 13th one from the band on CBS's Late Show, per word from the network.

A release from Dave Matthews Band notes that not only will the band be performing on the show and Legends, they'll also be "giving away a limited quantity of pairs of tickets" to see the band perform on the webcast series, which like the Late Show is recorded at the iconic Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City.

Those interested can share an image or photo on both Twitter and Instagram that presents what they feel is their favorite Dave Matthews Band song. "It can reference lyrics, a song title, an album, a show, or it can be as abstract as you like," the release notes.

The contest is up and running now and will last until Wednesday, April 22 at 12 p.m.

For more information on the contest, check out DMB's site.

And if you're participating, remember to tag each entry with #DMBLetterman. And of course, follow the band on Instagram and Twitter to partake.
