Carmen Electra New Song 'I Like It Loud': Will Boyfriend Simon Cowell Tell Her She's X-Factor Ready? [Listen]

Carmen Electra is challenging Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas with the release of her new song, "I Like It Loud."

On Tuesday, Electra released her new electronic track "I Like It Loud" on iTunes. The bombshell who was discovered by Prince, last released a song in 1993 and since then has been acting and modeling. According to OMG the singer said, "I've had this passion to get back into music," she added "I feel very lucky because I've been able to do so many other things, and I love that. I need a variety in my life and my career. It's never boring. It's been challenging at times, but it's also been such an amazing ride. Deep down inside, throughout everything, I just still have this passion."

The 40-year-old aspiring singer is on her verge to breaking into the music world with the help of Grammy-nominated producer, Bill Hamel, who approached her to work on her new sound. Hamel has worked with stars like, Madonna, U2, Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake.

Excited about working on her new project Electra said, "When I heard the track for 'I Like It Loud,' I just knew, 'This is me, I wanna do it! I wanna go for it,'"

Electra plans on going back to the studio to finish a full-length album and hasn't let her "boyfriend," X-Factor judge, Simon Cowell judge her talents just yet. "I have not played it for him," she added, "I don't think he even knows about it."

Although, Electra doesn't publicly say she is in a relationship with Cowell she says, "We're really good friends," she admitted. "We worked together on 'Britain's Got Talent' and we just clicked. I just think he's so funny and so charming, and our personalities really get along well. We had great chemistry on camera, and now that he's in town doing 'X Factor,' we've had more time to hang out. I just adore him. I think he's a sweetheart!"
