Actor Doug Hutchinson's teen bride (and third wife) Courtney Stodden was scheduled to make her highly-anticipated live singing debut at the popular West Hollywood gay bar the Abbey on Nov. 21 - but the event has since been canceled, apparently because L.A.'s "SBE Entertainment Group" just couldn't handle the controversial "Couples Therapy" star. The 18-year-old blonde bombshell was set to perform her original song "Reality" accompanied by a sexy stripper pole-dance, but it doesn't look like that's about to happen anytime soon. According to Stodden's rep Jim Strzalkowski, SBE's decision to cancel the show was solely based on "fear."

According to an E! News statement released by the Abbey, "[Stodden's] management approached the Abbey but ultimately she just wasn't a fit." But Stodden's crew is screaming foul.

"The reasons for the cancellation provided by SBE are a mystery to us and based on fear, in our opinion," Strzalkowski released in his own statement, insisting that the Abbey has been informing its workers that if the show were to go on, no press would be allowed inside to cover the event. "It is most unfortunate that a venue such as the SBE-controlled Abbey needs to approve and censor performers that audiences want to see, and would not be able to control the crowds and paparazzi anxious to see Courtney's show," he said.

Stodden's own mother, Krista Keller, agrees - "It was too much for the Abbey to handle, too much press and controversy. Courtney's not disappointed. She rolls with the punches."

Stodden made a splash in the reality television world with her appearance on VH1's hit show "Couples Therapy," alongside much-older hubby, 52-year-old actor Doug Hutchison. The Hollywood relationship drew much public criticism (the couple married when Stodden was just 16) - Hutchison insists his agent quit, his family disowned him, he received death threats, and he was ultimately labeled a "pedophile" and "predator" following his third marriage to Stodden.

Even with all the negative media, Stodden seemed pretty pumped about her live singing debut - "I'm super excited, it's going to be such a fun night," she recently told E! "You can expect to see a whole lot of sexy -- me singing live and super-hot backup dancers!"

But for now, looks like fans can only enjoy Stodden's musical talent through her music video, "Don't Put it On Me."

Stodden and her reps hope that they can reschedule a live performance sometime soon, hopefully in West Hollywood - "Courtney Stodden has a huge gay fan base and truly loves and adores everyone in the community," Strzalkowski concluded. "At this time, Courtney is heartbroken and we are currently seeking alternate opportunities for Courtney to make her debut club performance in West Hollywood."
