From the comedic mind of Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-head), Season 2 of Silicon Valley continues on HBO. Will Erlich (T.J. Miller), Richard Hendriks (Thomas Middleditch), and the rest of the tech gang raise enough money to save their company's future in episode 2, Runaway Devaluation?

Though Elrich, Richard, Gilfoyle (Martin Starr), and Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani) were being schmoozed by high-rolling investors, Gavin Belson (Matt Ross) is actually trying to sabotage their careers. Belson is suing Pied Piper for stealing his idea. Richard's lawyer mentions that even if Pied Piper is telling the truth, the bill to go up against Hooli's law team will be millions.

Monica (Amanda Crew)'s boss decides not to sign a contract with Pied Piper. It would be in bad business to sign with Pied Piper at this point. Her boss tells Monica to dress unattractive when she tells the bad news. Unfortunately, the boys don't buy her apology, especially when she looks great in cashmere.

With the loss of income, Jared (Zach Woods) is trying to work out the details to save the company. Not even the money the group won from TechCrunch will help make profits even. Finish realized he offered a large sum of money to his cousin for his "Bro" app.

Dinesh meets with his cousin and tries to dissuade him from making his "Bro" app. But when his cousin starts telling him relatives think he's a loser for working at Pied Piper, Dinesh gets riled up and rants that other people's opinions don't matter. Dinesh unfortunately convinces his cousin to start a Kickstarter party for his "Bro" app.

Gilfoyle puts in money at the Kickstarter when it looks like Dinesh's cousin  won't be getting enough funds. The Olympic starlet that Dinesh's cousin is screwing with actually puts in the rest of the money.

Meanwhile, none of the investors want to back Richard and Erlich because of the Hooli lawsuit, especially with how they were crudely treated in their last meeting. Through the "Bro" app, another company wants to meet with Pied Piper but the session turns out to be a trick to "brain-rape" them.

During the night, Richard secretly meets with Galvin at a Mexican restaurant. Galvin wants Richard to accept defeat and let Hooli acquire his company. Just before Richard is about to tell Galvin off, they are interrupted by Mariachis.
