On a recent episode of the hit realty singing show the "X-Factor," beautiful contestant Cece Frey closed out the night's competition with a diva-esque rendition of Celine Dion's "All by Myself." Judge and mentor Demi Lovato was a fan - L.A. Reid and Britney Spears... not so much. Lovato got pretty defensive, at least towards Reid (she let Spears get away with her rather negative comments). Reid didn't have much to say about Frey's performance, good or bad (other than the fact he didn't like her dress). Even so, 20-year-old Lovato lashed back in a verbal attack, throwing one of Reid's favorite contestants (Vino Alan) under the bus. Reid wasn't too happy about that. But when Spears admitted that she "just didn't get" Frey's rather dramatic performance, Lovato didn't say a word. That's when Reid decided to speak up. (Oh yeah, judge Simon Cowell wasn't such a big fan either).

Lovato is a huge fan of Frey - she believes that the rest of the judges are being way too hard on her. But for some reason, she decided to take out most of her aggression on Reid on Wednesday night's episode (Nov. 14). Check it out:

Reid was at a "loss for words" by Frey's performance, not exactly in a good way, and that's when Lovato lashed out.

"Hater... sorry that she was better than your Vino... sorry I'm not sorry."

Reid's reaction... what? He tells Lovato she better watch herself, considering Frey will probably end up in the bottom yet again.

After a slight awkward pause, Spears announces, "Sorry, I just didn't get it." Lovato then remains silent, and Reid wasn't having that

"Say something to Britney!" Reid exclaims. To which Lovato responds, "Nobody talks to the queen like that."

Cowell finally butts-in, stating that Frey probably would have done better singing the performance "all by herself"... guess that settles that.

So what do fans think about Lovato's rather diva-like verbal attack against Reid? Was it called for? And how about Frey's rather theatrical performance?
