Season 3 of the CW's Arrow is rocketing toward its finale, entitled "My Name is Oliver Queen," but there will still be plenty of twists and turns along the way.

TVLine has posted its May Sweeps Spectacular, which includes spoilers on Arrow. The site reports that, as we have seen in promos, Oliver does in fact accept the mantle of Ra's al Ghul.

"So the question is, first of all, why the hell would he do that?" showrunner Marc Guggenheim tells TVLine. "And once he's done it, how is there still an Arrow -- both in terms of the hero and, quite frankly, the show itself?"

But it's not as simple as that. Guggenheim notes Oliver can't just waltz into the role and live happily ever after. "Once you're in, you're in [as the new Ra's]," the executive producer says. "But in order to stay in, you've got to do some stuff."

There's also the matter of Nyssa, Ra's daughter who was snubbed as his heir. "There was an agenda behind her going back to Starling City that we're still not aware of," Guggenheim said. This will apparently unfold on April 29.

Olicity fans also probably got giddy at the love scene between the two in the promos. "What you saw in the trailer was certainly not the entire story," Guggenheim noted. Naturally, there will be more issues between these two.

We will also see a wedding between two mystery characters in the penultimate Season 3 episode on May 6.

As for the season finale on May 13, Guggenheim promised a "very different kind of season finale" for the series, that puts an exclamation point of sorts on Seasons 1, 2 and 3. But it also offers a "very strong indication of who the Big Bad for Season 4 will be."
