Grand Theft Auto V continues to surprise. If you own the PC version of the game, players will have the ability to customize their own radio stations. The ability to do this is only for the PC. Playstation 4 and Xbox One's version lacks this ability.

In order to do this you'll first need to have some files handy. For the first time in your life your life you'll be handed the keys to a radio station and be your very own program director. Avoid the Creed and play a little more Black Sabbath and early Metallica. Maybe even uncut Eminem if you feel like getting edgy.

After you've picked a compilation of songs and best-of clips from your basement podcast, head to the Rockstar Games folder in My Documents. In PC terms that's ( [LOCAL DISK] > Users > My Documents > Rockstar Games ). Once you're there click open the GTA V folder.

Make sure you have at least three files ready to transfer into the User Music folder and select the Self Radio as your radio station. Now that it's all set up hit pause, go to the settings tab, select audio and then do either a Quick Scan or a Full Scan. This will find the station.

There will be three ways to play your Self Radio station. One is by sequential order. The other is by randomizing it and the third way is by inserting Rockstar created DJ's and advertisement in between songs.

It's cool to think how far radio has gone in the Grand Theft Auto series. It was revolutionary to begin with and now it got a little cooler. The radio aspect has been a mainstay in the Grand Theft Auto series ever since its resurrection with the Playstation 2's GTA III. In a way it was kind of revolutionary. Music always was a part of games but the difference was, you couldn't change the station on Madden. What you got was what they gave you and in their order.
