Demi Lovato 'Doesn't Care' about Taylor Swift and Harry Styles Flirting at 'X-Factor,' While Mario Lopez and Simon Cowell Approve

Rumors have it that Taylor Swift and "One Direction" heartthrob Harry Styles were getting their flirt-on backstage during a recent "X-Factor" rehearsal - and judge Demi Lovato doesn't have much to say about it. Many witnesses, including new "X-Factor" host Mario Lopez, witnessed Swift and Styles getting cozy backstage. While Simon Cowell didn't witness the flirting, he still thinks that the duo would make an awesome couple. So what's up with Lovato's cold-shoulder reaction - is she jealous she isn't getting some One Direction love of her own (from Niall Horan)?

Lopez discussed the potential Swift and Styles romance on his 104.3 MY FM radio show on Friday morning (he saw the two spending time together on the "X-Factor" set in L.A. on Thursday) - "Taylor Swift was the special guest performer, and [here's] a little inside scoop for you. During rehearsals, Harry from One Direction came and slapped me on the back, and said, 'Hey, Mario, how ya doing?' And I said, 'What are you doing here?' And he sort of [pointed] toward Taylor." Later on, Lopez witnessed the duo "walking off hand in hand. So Taylor Swift and Harry from One Direction -- you heard it here first. [They're] officially hanging out, I can say that much."

Lopez was also quoted as saying, "Of course they would [make a cute couple], they're both adorable."

According to another inside source, Styles joined Swift on the "X-Factor" and sat with her mom and entourage while she was in rehearsals. "After she finished, he went up to the stage. They were joking and laughing. He picked her up and threw her over his shoulder and carried her off."

So looks like Conor Kennedy is definitely out of the picture then?

"X-Factor" judge Cowell wasn't at the rehearsal to witness the Swift and Styles interaction, but once he heard about it, he couldn't help but voice his approval - "I think they're good together! Yeah!"

But as for 20-year-old Lovato - "I don't really know about that and I don't care." A source for Hollyscoop reports that Lovato looked obviously upset when asked about the Swift/Styles flirting rumors.

Although never official, Lovato and Styles' bandmate, Niall Horan, spent a lot of time together over the summer, prompting rumors of a budding romance. Both pop stars insist that they are too busy in their careers to date right now, but they were recently spotted on a number of supposed dates.  Now that Lovato's recently single gal-pal Swift seems to be kicking it off with Styles, the "Give Your Heart a Break" songstress maybe realizes that she really does want a One Directioner of her own?
