Reports confirm that Hostess Brands is requesting permission from a federal bankruptcy court to close its operations because of a widespread bakers' strike - that means no more Twinkies, Devil Dogs, or Wonder Bread - American classics! And what does New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (the butt of one too many 'fat' jokes) have to say about the sweet treat dilemma - basically don't ask, he doesn't need to see himself as the star of yet another mocking SNL skit, especially having to do with Twinkies!

Nearly 18,500 workers spread amongst 33 bakeries, 565 distribution centers, and 570 outlet stores nationwide will lose their jobs when Hostess finally shuts its doors for good. When NJ governor Chris Christie was asked his opinion about the legendary snack business' closing at a recent press conference, the good-natured Republican refused to answer the question. "This is a set-up, man," Christie exclaims. "It's bad that I even said the word 'Twinkie' from behind this microphone." Check it out, the video was posted on Christie's YouTube page and is quickly becoming a viral hit.

Christie has been dealing with the blows and devastations wrought by Hurricane Sandy for weeks - so when asked about the Hostess dilemma he somewhat humorously responds, "Really? Seriously? You're not asking me about Hostess Twinkies, are ya? I'm on 'Saturday Night Live' enough. You think you're getting me behind this microphone having me talk about Twinkies?... No, no, no, no, no. It's bad that I even said the word 'Twinkie' from behind this microphone."

It's true - Christie does say the word "Twinkie" three times in a matter of a few seconds. Do Mstarz fans think Christie's "Twinkie" rant will be the object of yet another Chris Christie SNL parody?
