From Emmy award-winning Mark Burnett (Survivor), Lucha Underground presents an all-new episode on El Rey Network. With the Trios Champions ready to be crowned, Sexy Star, Ivelisse Vélez, Johnny Mundo (aka John Morrison), and Alberto Del Patron (Alberto Del Rio), are set to step into the wrestling ring.

Ever since launching his own network, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For filmmaker Robert Rodriguez continues to entertain audiences with the second season of his From Dusk Till Dawn TV series. As we previously mentioned, El Rey rides into lucha libre, the no-holds barred world of freestyle wrestling and high-flying aerial maneuvers. In Mexico's most popular sport, the masked villains and heroes confront against each other in thrilling one-on-one matches.

According to the release, for the first time ever on Lucha Underground, the Trios Champions will be crowned in a Three Way Trios Tag Team Elimination Match. Stepping into the ring together are Big Ryck, Cage, Kill Shot, Texano, Angelico, Ivelisse and Son of Havoc. The entertainment doesn't end there as Sexy Star takes on Pentagon Jr.

In an interview with LA Times, Dorian Roldan, a co-owner of Lucha Underground, describes the prominence of Boyle Heights' Mexican American residents, "Right now, the Latino population is growing so much in this city, in Los Angeles, it is very important for lucha libre to be in this part of America. There was no doubt that Los Angeles, more specifically this neighborhood, was the perfect place to start."

In the joint interview, the Machete director discusses the look of the show, "We wanted the set to be a reflection of lucha's heritage, and we are proud to support and inspire up-and-coming creatives as they endeavor to break into this business. So asking them to participate in the creation of the set and costumes was an organic extension of who we are."

Lucha Underground continues Wednesdays at 8:00 pm on the El Rey Network.
