Psy's "Gangnam Style" was one of the biggest music dance hits of summer 2012, so it's no surprise that the K-pop sensation took the stage to perform his viral megahit at Sunday night's 40th annual American Music Awards (Nov. 18). But the fun didn't end there - popular 1980s-1990s rapper MC Hammer jumped onstage to join Psy and remix his AMAs "Gangnam Style" with his 1991 hit "2 Legit 2 Quit." The awesome duet was definitely one of the highlights of the evening (with other big performances including Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, Pink, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, and many more).
Black Eyed Peas' front man Will.i.am took the stage to introduce the final act to a screaming crowd of fans at the AMAs on Sunday. Will.i.am made sure to point out the fact that Psy's viral YouTube hit "Gangnam Style" has close to 800 million hits since hitting the web in July. Once Psy hit the stage, he broke out into his infamous "Gangnam Style" dance, but appeared to be flaunting a rather loose-fitting pair of pants compared to his typical suave suit ensemble...
A number of celeb fans were jumping and horse-dancing around to Psy's superb performance, when the singer's Hammer-esque trousers were finally joined by the popular MC himself! Check it out (keep your eye out for MC Hammer's "2 Legit 2 Quit" remix interruption at around minute 2:50):
To finish off the night, Psy and MC Hammer stood side-by-side on the stage surrounded by a number of backup dancers, pouncing around to a "Gangnam Style/2 Legit 2 Quit" chorus.
