Elsa Hosk, Candice Swanepoel's BFF, Deemed Victoria's Secret New Angel After Ariana Grande Smack [WATCH]

Just because audiences remember the Swedish model smacking Ariana Grande with her giant wings, that mishap didn't hinder her career from accomplishing her latest title. Elsa Hosk, Candice Swanepoel's fellow modeling BFF, was been ben named Victoria's Secret newest Angel.

During the 2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, the stunning models strutted the catwalk in their sexy lingerie. Pop sensations Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, and Hozier  were all part of the musical lineup for the lingerie-clad event. In a "Yikes" moment, hilarity ensued when the 21-year-old Love Me Harder songstress was accidentally slapped in the head by Hosk's glittery angel wings.

Just because it was caught on camera, that doesn't mean you can never recover from a fiasco. CBS then aired their first-ever Victoria's Secret Swim Special. During production, the camera crews were enjoying the beautiful landscape of Puerto Rico, while getting the prefect shot of the eye-catching models in the skimpy swimwear. The blonde beauty shared a behind-the-scenes snapshot with Swanepoel and the other models on her Instagram wall.

Hosk recounted from the trip, "We kept getting trapped in the cave, but we had to get the shot. We were all getting hit in the face by waves and had to jump when waves came."

According to E! Online, the blonde bombshell was named a Victoria's Secret Angel after her agency's website updated her profile with the prestigious title.

The IMG Models website stated, "She served as a brand ambassador for its [Victoria's Secret] Pink line for two consecutive years, and recently received the company's prestigious 'Contract Angel' title."

While an official statement has yet to be released, this is still big news for the young starlet. According to Perez Hilton, Hosk fills in the void after the departures of Karlie Kloss and Doutzen Kroes.
