Many fans expressed concerns after paparazzi snapped starlet Selena Gomez strutting into an L.A. emergency room early on Monday (Nov. 19). But no need to worry, 20-year-old Gomez just wanted to get tested for strep throat - the "Spring Breakers" star was forced to wrap up her recording session early on Sunday "because her throat was bothering her" (an inside source reports to E! News). It looks like her late-night partying with ex-beau Justin Bieber following the American Music Awards on Sunday evening may have worn the former Disney star out!

The inside source tells E! that Gomez decided to take extra precautions after her throat started to bother her this weekend because "her stepfather has had bronchitis so she wanted to be extra careful to make sure she wasn't getting it, too." Sources confirm to TMZ that doctors doubt it is even strep - even so, final diagnosis depends on lab test results which still won't be available for another few days. Whatever the case, Gomez is predicted to make a full and healthy recovery in no time!

In other Gomez news, following her breakup and disastrous dinner date with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, the starlet was spotted holdings hands with the "As Long as you Love Me" star backstage after the 40th annual AMAs on Sunday. Reports confirm that Gomez didn't return home until after midnight - she attended an official AMAs after party with the Biebs and ended up hopping over to manager Scooter Braun's private event at the Bootsy Bellows in Hollywood. So are the teen pop star duo back on? It's hard to tell at this point - what is obvious is that Gomez should kick back with some tea and relax to make sure her throat problems don't get any worse!
