Alexis DeJoria: Jesse James, Sandra Bullock's Infamous Ex, Engaged for Fifth Time, Drag Racer Responds to Twitter Backlash

Sandra Bullock's infamous ex-hubby Jesse James is engaged for the fifth time, and it looks like this time around the custom bike and car builder has traded in tats (remember his short-lived romance with Kat Von D?) for something a little faster - he recently popped the question to popular drag racer Alexis DeJoria. RadarOnline reported back in October that the 35-year-old daughter of Paul Mitchell hair care co-founder John Paul DeJoria had been dating James since September - after just a few short weeks of dating, it appears the duo are already prepared to tie the knot.

Hollyscoop was the first to break news of the engagement, although James and DeJoria have yet to release an official statement on the matter. Insiders within the drag racing circuit confirmed the "happy" news.

James' relationship with award-winning actress Bullock crumbled in 2010, after several women admitted to having an extramarital affair with the former CEO of the now defunct West Coast Choppers. James, 43, was also previously married to both Karla James and adult actress Janine Lindemulder (he has three children between the two women). He was also engaged to "LA Ink" star Kat Von D in 2011 (wedding plans were put to a halt after James supposedly cheated on her too). Therefore this relationship with DeJoria marks his fifth engagement.

James' relationship with DeJoria has been kept on the down low - apparently he's been spending some time "helping her to compete" (DeJoria usually competes in the Funny Car class, typically driving a supercharged Toyota some 300 mph.). Supposedly not many people know about the engagement. Oh, and DeJoria also has a 9-year-old daughter Isabella from a former relationship.

After gossip sites ousted the engagement, one fan wrote this to DeJoria on Twitter - "I used to admire you now I feel sorry for you. Moving in and getting engaged to a guy you've been dating for a month."

DeJoria responded (basically confirming the engagement):

@AlexisDejoria: "Am I supposed to wait till I'm married to sleep with a man too?! Lol! You've been brainwashed into what society says is right."
