Rapper 50 Cent can be rather harsh sometimes - but apparently, the G-Unit superstar is actually a fan of former One Direction singer, Zayn Malik!

The 22-year-old English crooner recently left his beloved 1D crew and now allegedly plans on starting his own solo (hip-hop) career. Maybe even with some help from YMCMB hypeman, Drake?

Well, according to Fifty, Malik could definitely be the "next Justin Timberlake." Remember, the "Mirrors" singer WAS a member of the hit boy band, NYSNC!

Do MstarsNews readers agree?

In a recent interview with MTV News, the NYC native said:

"His vision on his own is always different from what it is in the group. Like Justin Timberlake, as Justin Timberlake, away from the group - it's a lot of potential."

The "Candy Shop" emcee then continued:

"That was ballsy of me to say that. Now Justin's mad at me. But it is one of those things that you can see something interesting come out of him selecting what he wants."

Very true...

During the same interview, Fifty discussed his highly-anticipated collaboration with "Rap God" Eminem. The "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" hip-hopper's new album Street King Immoral does not have an official 2015 release date (yet). But according to Fifty, the track featuring Shady is currently entitled "Champions" and will definitely be an "epic Detroit classic."

SKI was initially scheduled for a 2011 release, but obviously things continue being delayed.

Keep an eye on further updates via Instagram. Should Fifty surprise listeners with a rather unexpected collaboration with the former "Story of My Life" crooner? That might help with Malik attempting to revamp his independent music career!
