'Jurassic World' Dinosaurs Indominus Vs T Rex? Director Colin Trevorrow Shares Movie Teasers

We're pretty excited about the upcoming 2015 release, Jurassic World from director Colin Trevorrow, but news broke this week that an iconic beast from the original 1993 film will make an appearance, surely adding to the movie's hype! According to Trevorrow, the T. Rex that terrorized us in the Steven Speilberg blockbuster over 20 years ago will return this summer and possibly face off against other dinosaurs, including the hybrid animal Indominus Rex!

"The T. Rex in this movie is the same T. Rex from Jurassic Park," Trevorrow said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "She's been on the island for 22 years. She's still alive. She's a little older, and she's angry. We took the original design and obviously, technology has changed. So, it's going to move a little bit differently, but it'll move differently because it's older. And we're giving her some scars, and we're tightening her skin."

Will this mean a showdown with the out of control Indominus Rex? We'll have to wait and see when Jurassic World hits theaters on June 12.

This quote comes from an extensive interview with Slash Film. The director went into plenty of detail about following in Speilberg's footsteps and working with the film's cast, including Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. He also opened up about using performance capture for the dinosaurs in the film, which is the first time it's been used in the franchise.

"We knew it would work for the raptors because they're at least somewhat human in height," he explained. "But, when you get down to a 20 foot high, 50 foot long animal, is that going to translate? And then they tended to hone it and it really does. I'm not sure why, but the physics work and it's pretty thrilling to watch. I think living things can recognize the movement of other living things and all the best animators in the world can't quite capture that something."
